Is Jesus Michael the Archangel?

Is Jesus Michael the Archangel?  The Watchtower and Bible Tract Society (JW.org) teaches that Jesus himself is the Archangel Michael. Let's look at the Bible for our answer.  Using the New World Translation, the preferred bible of the Watch Tower.  By the way some things are underlined to emphasis what the Scripture is saying.  Let us begin... Who is Michael the Archangel?    "But when Miʹcha·el the archangel had a difference with the Devil and was disputing about Moses’ body, he did not dare to bring a judgment against him in abusive terms, but said: “May Jehovah rebuke you.”  (Jude 1:9) Here "Michael the Archangel" is mentioned and is having a difference or dispute with the Devil over the body of Moses.  In Rev 12:7, (which is quoted below) "Michael" is mentioned with his angels.  Archangel means "an angel of high rank."  But is Jesus Michael the Archangel as JW.org teaches?  Can we find our answer in the Bible?  Let's ...

God doesn't give glory to anyone else!

In the New World Translation and in the Bible, we read... - I am Jehovah. That is my name; I give my glory to no one else, nor my praise to graven images. Isaiah 42:8 Certainly, there is only one God, and no one else, nothing else is worthy of worship or the Glory that belongs to him.  - So now, Father, glorify me at your side with the glory that I had alongside you before the world was. John 17:5  Footnotes for 17:5 given in the New World Translation.  world: The Greek word koʹsmos here apparently refers to the world of mankind. Compare study note on John 17:24. I have provided that verse for you here.  - Father, I want those whom you have given me to be with me where I am, in order that they may look upon my glory that you have given me, because you loved me before the founding of the world. John 17:24 Think!  If God does not share his glory with anyone as Isaiah says, Jesus must be God since he shares in God's glory even before the world was made.  More...

God our only Savior!

We can learn from the Bible and from the New World Translation that God is our Savior and that there is only one savior God who can save us from our sins.  - I—I am Jehovah, and besides me there is no savior.” Isaiah 43:11 If we read Isaiah 43 in context we see that God is our Savior in many ways.  But when we continue to verse 25 we read "I, I am the One who is blotting out your transgressions for my own sake, And I will not remember your sins." God teaches us through Isaiah that there is no savior besides Himself. God is the only one who can truly save us from sin, and forgive our sins. In Mark 2:7, Luke 5:21, we read that only God can forgive sins.  Do you believe this?  - She will give birth to a son, and you are to name him Jesus, for he will save his people from their sins.” Matthew 1:21 - For today there was born to you in David’s city a savior, who is Christ the Lord. Luke 2:11 If Jesus was born to save us from our sins and is our Savior who is Christ the Lor...

Are we created in the image of Jesus?

Using the New World Translation ( my   emphasis is added.)  "This is what Jehovah says, your Repurchaser,  Who formed you since you were in the womb:  “I am Jehovah, who made everything.  I stretched out the heavens by myself,  And I spread out the earth.  Who was with me?" Isaiah 44:24 Let us get started... God Created "In the beginning God  created the heavens and the earth." Genesis 1:1  Do you believe that Jehovah God is our Creator?  "Then God said: “Let us make man in our  image , according to our  likeness , and let them have in subjection the fish of the sea and the flying creatures of the heavens and the domestic animals and all the earth and every creeping animal that is moving on the earth.” And God  went on to create the man in his  image, in God’s  image he  created him ; male and female he   created them." Genesis 1:26-27 In this verse we see the interchanging of the plural and singular. ...

Is Jesus really present in bread and wine?

Defending The Real Presence of Christ in The Eucharist using the New World Translation.   JW's Come Home to The Catholic Church     Before you click away from this article I would like to ask you to prayerfully and patiently consider what I am showing you. I will explain the term "Eucharist" at the end of this presentation. But to be clear when I use the term "Eucharist" I am referring to Christ's true and physical presence in the form of bread and wine.  It is a well known fact that many who are Jehovah's Witnesses were actually raised, more or less as, Catholics.  It truly saddens me to think about all of the many baptized Catholics  who walk away from Christ in The Eucharist.  It saddens me because Christ wants us to follow him wherever he asks us to go and to believe in him no matter what and no matter how difficult the teaching seems to be.  Do you believe Jesus wants us to follow him? This article is about the Gospel of John chapter 6...

Is Jesus, Mighty God?

The Scripture that I am using here is from the New World Translation.  My emphasis added with underlining :) Jesus, the child born to us is God!  - For a child has been born to us, A son has been given to us; And the rulership will rest on his shoulder. His name will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God , Eternal Father, Prince of Peace. (Isaiah 9:6) - She will give birth to a son, and you are to name him Jesus, for he will save his people from their sins.” All of this actually came about to fulfill what was spoken by Jehovah through his prophet, saying:   “Look! The virgin will become pregnant and will give birth to a son, and they will name him Im·manʹu·el,” which means, when translated, “With Us Is God.”  (Matt 1:21-23) We know these verses are referring to Jesus, who is "the child born to us" to rule over us, and to save us from our sins. Yet this child has a name,  "Mighty God"  They will name him (and we know this is referring to the child J...

Is Jesus a false god or the real God?

Is Jesus, The True Light, The Word of God and God made man or a false god? In my opinion there are no other options especially when we read scripture for ourself. Jesus is either God or he is not. And if he is not while claiming to be divine, he is a false god among many.    Let's have the scriptures tell us!  Underlines added Using the NWT JW bible and KJV for context comparisons
