God doesn't give glory to anyone else!

In the New World Translation and in the Bible, we read...

- I am Jehovah. That is my name; I give my glory to no one else, nor my praise to graven images. Isaiah 42:8

Certainly, there is only one God, and no one else, nothing else is worthy of worship or the Glory that belongs to him.

- So now, Father, glorify me at your side with the glory that I had alongside you before the world was. John 17:5

Footnotes for 17:5 given in the New World Translation.

world: The Greek word koʹsmos here apparently refers to the world of mankind.

Compare study note on John 17:24. I have provided that verse for you here.

- Father, I want those whom you have given me to be with me where I am, in order that they may look upon my glory that you have given me, because you loved me before the founding of the world. John 17:24

Think!

If God does not share his glory with anyone as Isaiah says, Jesus must be God since he shares in God's glory even before the world was made.

More on the New World Translation footnotes.

Consider these passages which tell us about the nature of Jesus...

- In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was a god. John 1:1

- Jesus said to them: “Most truly I say to you, before Abraham came into existence, I have been.” John 8:58

- He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation; Colossians 1:15

Let's consider...

If Jesus was in the beginning with God, and if he is the image of the invisible God, and "a god" as in John 1:1 says in the New World Translation, then Jesus is God, because there is only one God. And God doesn't share his glory with anyone but himself.

We read in Isaiah...

- ..Before me no God was formed, And after me there has been none. Isaiah 43:10)

Do you believe this?
